For many hotels, towels are important textiles that need to be frequently washed and used. However, after repeated washing, hotel towels will inevitably turn yellow. So, how to effectively whiten hotel towels?

The chlorine bleaching method generally leaves hotel towels with a pale yellow or slightly yellowish tint, hence the need for whitening.

There are two methods for whitening hotel towels. The first is blueing whitening. Direct light-fast dyes and basic violet dyes can be used on cellulose fiber fabrics; disperse blue dyes are suitable for polyester-cotton blended fabrics.

The second is fluorescent whitening. Direct fluorescent brighteners are mainly used to whiten cotton, vinylon, and nylon; disperse fluorescent brighteners are primarily for polyester fibers; acid fluorescent brighteners are mainly applied to wool, nylon, acetate fiber, acrylic fiber, and polyester. The base whiteness is generally set at 1, bleaching at 1.5, and fluorescent whitening at 2.5. If the base whiteness is poor, the effect of using whitening powder will be even worse.
